What is a vegan diet?
A vegan/plant-based diet is one that eliminates all animal products, and instead gets its nutrients from entirely plant-based sources.
This means that you will find no dairy, meat, fish, or honey in a vegan meal! Instead, a vegan diet will incorporate more fruits and vegetables, legumes, and pulses to ensure all the body’s nutrient needs are being met.

What does a vegan diet consist of?
A vegan diet eliminates animal products (including dairy, eggs, and honey) and consists of plants or foods made from plants. This includes a mix of fruit, vegetables, grains, and protein sources to ensure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs to keep your body performing its best.
How can you get protein as a vegan?
A common question for the vegan diet; luckily there are plenty of great answers! Tofu and Tempeh are both sourced from soya beans and are excellent sources of protein that we love to use in our recipes. On top of that, legumes such as beans and chickpeas are rich in protein and make up a lot of vegan dishes!
Is a vegan diet healthy?
A vegan diet is just as healthy as any other diet, as long as you're including a well-balanced variety of healthy foods. A good understanding of what constitutes a healthy balanced diet is essential to ensure you are not missing out on any essential nutrients.
